New build released! v0.3 (03/16/24)


we're back

Sorry for the delay, but I just kept running into issue after issue while coding the multiplayer. I think it's somewhat stable now.

Changes from v0.2 (02/16/24)

- ONLINE MULTIPLAYER! well... very basic peer-to-peer multiplayer but nonetheless it's pretty cool. Select a map, host a game, have your friends connect, and then kill each other! (in the game, not irl; please don't do that)

- Changed physics engine from Godot Physics to Jolt

- New weapons! Like, lots of new weapons! All secondaries, two new ARs, two new SMGs, two new snipers, two new specialist weapons, and a new shotgun.

- In addition to new weapons, a new camera movement system was added for better game feel and weapons were restructured to allow for more modularity (and they don't cast shadows anymore.)

- The "fire_ads" animation on all weapons was made less violent.

- A new map called Optimal has been added. Another map called Vita Bona is in the game files, but it's not ready yet. All maps are now hooked up to a base map class to make mapmaking faster.

- Updated intro screen and added a custom theme song made by yours truly.

- Iron sights are aligned with the weapon hitscan when standing still.

- ...and other miscellaneous bug fixes and optimizations

The next build will have multiplayer bug fixes, numerous QoL improvements, and more maps. Thank you all for playing, and I'll see you when the next build releases!
